Gentle Sedation for Your Child

If your child has a slightly higher anxiety level than other children, Kid Care Dental P.C. offers in-office sedation. An alternative to Novocain or local anesthetics, sedation dentistry not only blocks any pain but it also takes away the stress and anxiety your child may have.

Sedation is also helpful for special-needs children. There are many safe and effective drugs available today that can help relax your child and promote a good environment for optimal and safe dental treatment. If your child meets the criteria for this procedure, the doctor, as well as the staff, will go over all the instructions and answer any questions you may have.

Deep Sedation Available if Necessary

Kid Care Dental works together with a certified anesthesiologist from the Brockton and Caritas Good Samaritan hospitals if your child is unable to cooperate during dental treatment. If your child may pose a threat to their own safety during treatment or is under the age of 3 years and has extensive dental disease, contact us.

Sedation Dentistry Is Most Helpful in These Cases:

  • Children who require major treatment
  • A very anxious child
  • Infants
  • Children that have had traumatic dental experiences (sound and smell aversion)
  • Children with a strong gag reflex
  • Children who are medically compromised or who are mentally handicapped
